About Houz of ZEST brand

Houz of ZEST was born out of a need for science backed, dermatologist curated skincare for aficionados and beginners alike. With simplicity and efficacy at the forefront, the first two offerings by houz of ZEST aim at cutting down the clutter on your shelf. 

At houz of ZEST we believe in simplicity and skincare routines that do not give you anxiety! The idea is to bring the most efficacious combinations of actives in beginner friendly concentrations that make it easy 

Skincare should not be complicated or anxiety inducing for anyone! To be

I’ve always been passionate about my own skincare routine and love experimenting with active ingredients and formulations for myself. But complicated skincare routines and regimens have been very off putting for me! 10 step routines, 6 different serums, I’ve always found it annoying to have to spend so much time on my morning and evening routines. 

Skincare routines should not give anyone anxiety! The concept of Houz of Zest came from this seed of thought - a simple but super charged routine with formulations that are suitable for any and every skin type. 

Noopur & I got together in late-2021 and started our initial research for what we can formulate and what will make the process easier for our customers. It took us over 10 months of research and mixing and matching formulations before we came up with our first two products - Drink Up Intensive & After Glow

As a dermatologist I am often asked about products by my patients. In fact, one of my favorite conversations with my patients center around their skin goals and what products they can use to achieve them. A lot of my patients are young adults who are just overwhelmed with the influx of skincare thrown at them by the algorithm! 

Over the last 10 plus years of conversations, and observations about skincare, I realized that I wanted to create my own formulations that will help young customers and skincare beginners alike in building routines that will work for them. I was very clear from the beginning - I wanted to create a brand that simplifies routines and delivers the maximum impact in just 3 steps. Sunscreen really doesn’t count as a skincare step! It is a necessity!!  

So in late-2021 when Aanchal and I got together to brainstorm on the actives, formulations, categories etc… I knew that my first set of products was going to be serums. My passion and goal as a dermatologist and now a skincare brand founder has been to help people become comfortable in their skin, look and feel good! And so two easy to use and super high impact products were born.

We educate our audience on the science behind our products, embracing chemistry, biology, and skin physiology. We avoid fear-based marketing and promoting chemophobia, encouraging a well-informed approach.

Creating a routine of any kind can be challenging when the world is so full of distractions. A lot of us find our emotional and mental grounding in journaling, which as a tool helps create a sort of routine for the mind and our mental health.

So, why not have something like that for our skin and skin health? Mindfulness for skin care helps us create good skin habits in the long run, from regularly using the right products, to ensuring we drink our required amount of water and eat healthy, good skin habits go a long way.

This journal is an ambition project for us at Houz of Zest, with the hope that over the next few years we are able to build a tribe of zestful skincare enthusiasts!
